September was a lovely time. I spent my birthday on the way to Australia on the A380 :) The big bird was a good plane to fly in. The seats are rather cramped, but the aircraft is very stable, you can’t hardly feel the acceleration, the take off nor the landing.

Ah, it’s great to be back in Sydney again.

The first week was lovely, bright sunny and blue skies, enjoying the last days of the winter. Bundled up to keep warm and walking the streets to see the sights and scout for good locations. Kim was with me, so it was sorta like a 2nd honeymoon except I was in working mode, hence I was constantly thinking about the shoot and how to make it exceptional.

I had my lovely couple Kelvin and Selena for the shoot in Sydney.

Hmmm…. After thinking for more than 4 hours, I am still clueless what to write for this post. Arghhh!

But I really have to thank Rachale, Winnie’s sister, for being a great help. She’s like a wedding planner to the couple (Chris & Winnie always fly in and out of Singapore) and my assistant during the shoot. My job would never have been easier. Hee…

Time to source for assistant for my future shoots? Anyone??

Introducing my capable assistant, Rachale :p

Ah, it’s back to Singapore after 2 weeks in Sydney. Greeting me back in Singapore is the Wedding of Victor and Melina. Nothing can go wrong with a westie in a wedding, maybe I’m biased here since I had my own westie Rufus at my wedding too :) It was quite a surprise when Victor and Melina popped over at the studio months ago with Snowbelle, she is the most docile westie I’ve ever seen, very different from the typically excitable westies. It must have been our love for westies as I felt very comfortable with them immediately. We probably spent more time talking about dogs then about the photography. On the wedding day we started with the usual of the bride and then a lovely church service in the afternoon. As my friend Ben would say it (about fetching the bride), “it’s gonna be horrible, but that’s what memories are made of !” :)

Since my return from the Vietnam trip about a week ago, I was packed with non-stop shoots; Mingjiang and Mingjie’s wedding is one of them. The week was really exhausting, but I had been looking forward to capture their big day.

I remember it was many many months ago when a petite and slender Mingjie came over to view my works, she carried a huge and heavy bag with her. For a really small size girl like her, she sure is very strong! And she got a very jovial character. We clicked immediately and signed me up on the spot. :)

I only managed to meet up with Mingjiang a couple of days before their wedding when they came back from London. I missed a opportunity to do their pre-wedding in London, they were just too busy. Anyway, their wedding day was so much fun. The guys did a strip tease at the gate crash. LOL! There were so much exuberant joy that I ended up with 150 photos for their banquet slideshow. And it was really gratifying to get compliments for the photos from the couple and their family members! Every single effort I put into processing and rushing out the photos is definitely worth it.

Here are some of the images to share.

Mingjiang has a serious look on the outside but he has his quirky side too!

Jessie & Kenneth Express Highlights from Chong Eileen on Vimeo.

Kenneth & Jessie had known each other for over 20 years! Their love for each other is one that is God centered. It was a great experience filming for their wedding as the both of them are very real & sincere people. Nothing showy or pretentious.

Jessie has this pretty smile that warms your heart and real attitude towards people. Kenneth has a reallllly genuine, sweet, loving attitude towards his friends & relative. Everytime Kenneth sets his eyes on Jessie, there is this look in his eyes that seem like he’s smitten with her over and over and over again.

Alright, watch the video and you’ll get the full picture!

Signing off,
Eileen
